What would you do differently?
I’ve had this blog running around in my head for a few weeks and just when I thought it may be safe to talk about the “C word”, the landscape seems to have changed again.
The last 6 months have been pretty crazy for everyone. Whether you’re a full-time parent, running your own business or in education, Covid-19 is something I don’t think we ever thought we would live through.
It feels like the opening scene from “The Walking Dead”!
Personally, and from a business perspective we’ve been having challenging conversations and situations to work our way through. We’ve learnt so much from the last 6 months and realised we are more resilient, resourceful and “prolific” in ways we could have never imagined.
I thought this post would just be reflective but I also think it could be something to consider for the future as I guess we could have another lockdown soon.
I wondered what, if anything you would do differently from your experience of the last 6 months?
For me, it would be to worry less. Such an easy thing to say but probably the hardest thing to do. I wish I could have not worried so much about the business and worried so much about my family. The hours I spent worrying were so pointless and wasted so much time.
There’s also a lot I wouldn’t change. I’m probably the fittest I’ve ever been, I’ve expanded my knowledge on nutrient, I definitely understand myself better than I ever have and I’ve even started learning the Clarinet which reached a crescendo (see what I did there) performing in a Jazz Band at a socially distanced gathering a few weeks ago!
I’d love to hear your thoughts and how things have been for you!
P.S Hands up all those who’ve learnt at least two new words and phrases? Furlough and Socially-distancing spring to mind…
